Thankyou Ian, your account of your experience was extremely helpful with many tips that I have noted. I will try to remain positive. Just one thing I think you said that 30 was the body's limit but I'm down for 7 weeks radiotherapy is that normal as well   Thankyou Ian for listening and good luck with your continued recovery.

On the doses, my undertsanding is that 6/7 weeks was the max and thought around 6 was the norm, but you are in safe hands with NHS and they will have scientifically mapped out your radiation plan and if over a 7 week period will be fine. All very scienfifically exact now and amazing on the advancement in technology in this area.
I agree that you sometimes dont know what to ask or forget or have limited time with consultant etc.

If you have any specific questions, I would write them down and take to your appointments and the support team, in my experience are invaluable when it comes to things like medication,diet,side effects and helping you through any issues you may have. That said they still have limited time and these threads are really helpful as you can tap into many others experince on here who have been in your circumstance and fully understand what you will ben going through.
I also started a thread on here that is still active and there are many of us who helped each other, shared experinces and tips and this has helped so many others along the way
