I'm sorry you have just received this diagnosis and have only just received it after 2 years of seeking medical attention. It will take some time for the news to settle in and you will then think of questions to ask.
Have you just had the results after an excision biopsy? Have they told you what stage and/or depth of the melanoma? You will now be given a Wide Local Excision (WLE) and (depending on the depth) the option of a Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB).
