Hi all

I heard today following a cystoscopy that I have what they are terming 'superficial' bladder cancer (can't believe I am typing this).  This was found on an MRI scan initially, which I had in connection with other symptoms which appear unrelated and remain undiagnosed.  I am being referred for TURBT and they cant tell me more about stage, type, grade until lab results following this.  It was all very quick and a bit brutal.  I had to ask for confirmation they thought it was camcer and was given a leaflet about TURBT but that was it.  Not how I expected the experience of hearing I have cancer to be.

I am also referred for a colonoscopy and chest CT for the original symptoms (right side pain inside rib cage and dull ache in upper back) so got rather a lot going on and feel a little overwhelmed.

if you have experiences of baldder cancer especially if female, it would be so helpful if you can share them, especially regarding TURBT (I know what is is and have researched it but ersonal experiences are so helfpul) and beyond.  I am keen to know when others got specifc information  about stage, type and grade of bladder cancer.
