Ewing’s Sarcoma

My husband was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma on 1st April 2021. He's 41. After having a needle biopsy, they found a growth 5cm x 5.8cm in his chest wall and this has spread to multiple parts of his spine, pelvis and hip bones.  We have a baby boy who is almost 1 years old, it is such a distressing time for all of us. It would really help me if anyone can share their experiences of this, I feel so broken and am in need of a lot of support.

  • Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Leens although I'm very sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis and where it has spread. This must be very tough.

I've had a quick look though the forum and unfortunately there haven't been many discussions about Ewing's Sarcoma within the community lately. You're very welcome to try and reach out to members on older discussions (just use the 'search forum' option in the purple bar above to do this) but you may have more success on Sarcoma UK.

I'm not sure if you've come across them before but they have lots of information about your husband's diagnosis as well as a support line you can call, so do get in touch with them if you feel it will help you and your family at this time.

We're thinking of you Leens and sending all our strength and support your way.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • My son was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma jan 2019. If you have any questions please ask. You can message me too. Unfortunately my son died in May 2021. I researched it extensively and have a background in science. I may be able to answer some of your questions or give you advice on where to get those answers. I'm not medically qualified just a parent that has been through this treatment with my son.
    Thinking of you both x

  • Hi Carebear,

I am so sorry to hear about your son. I hope you are doing well. I have sent you a friend request and hopefully we can message each other from there.
