Hi everybody! I'm still relatively new to all this even though the last month has been a whirlwind. I was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer on 20th January. I've been lucky and was able to have surgery quickly- left mastectomy completed on 2nd Feb. Initially, cancer team was confident that my lymph nodes weren't affected. However, 3 radiologists reviewed my MRI and one was concerned about one lymph node- the other 2 didn't agree. A biopsy was completed and sure enough, it was positive for cancer. I feel lucky that this one doctor spotted the node as apparently it was very small. So alL lymph nodes were removed during surgery. I'm now waiting for results and I'm terrified - keep thinking that it's spread to other lymph nodes and throughout my body. Trying to be positive and think that any other lymph node issues would have been spotted by somebody on the MRI, mammogram and ultrasounds but I'm so frightened. I have 2 young children and i can't help but worry.
