  • [@yorkiegal]‍ very good morning to you, how are you? How is your week ?Very sunny day today in London getting better every day hopefully we will see more warm days ahead. How you coping with your side effects and any good with earache? I hope you sorted it already. Thinking about you every day ... x

  • @anna71‍ [@yorkiegal]‍

hi, how are you both? I had chemo round 2 yesterday so feeling a little tired today, though other than that, no real negative side effects so fsr, but for me last time Dsy 4 was the worst.  Not sure I will ever get used to giving myself an injection, but managed it again.

Hope you are both doing well, Linds x

  • [@linds16]‍ iam so happy to hear that no negative sides so far , i still enjoy my time before chemo... next Friday iam booked in , so soon i will be in your shoes too. We very lucky to see sun shine more and more every day it brings happiness in my heart. I wish you beautiful weekend. Xxx

  • Apologies up front, but I just need to offload.  It's Day 4 of my 2nd chemo and I woke and threw up at5.30am this morning. Felt super nauseous every time I moved, so stayed in bed until 2pm.   I wish I had the energy and motivation to get up and push through, but today I just didn't and that's frustrating me now.  So it's now late afternoon, I am at least showered and sitting in the garden, but can't be bothered to go even for a short walk.

I just needed to write it down.....am sure tomorrow will be a better day.

  • [@linds16]‍ hi oh dear poor you ... definitely side effects came from everyway . At least you in garden getting fresh air and can listen to birds ... not to sure whats happened to Lyn seems she now in a good shape , no msg for last 5 days.thats how chemo works one day you ok next day you not yourself... i hope tomorrow you will be better and manage to go for a walk. Wishing you just to not have nausea its the most scary things for me ...x

  • Thanks @anna71, you are right, it ws lovely listening to the birds.   Does your chemo start on Friday?  I wish the best for you with it.  I found the first round scary as it is hard to know the side effects, but the nurses on the cancer care line are so helpful for everything x

  • [@linds16]‍ yes my lovely my first chemo on Friday, every week... tomorrow iam going to insert picc line bloods and covid test. How many rounds of chemo for you?

  • Hi, 6 rounds for me, every 3 weeks, so that will be up to the middle of July if all goes to plan.  Good luck for tomorrow

  • [@linds16]‍ , So sorry I missed this earlier, I didn’t get an email notification. I feel your pain Linds. It’s hideous feeling like that. It has taken me until yesterday to recover after cycle 2 - which is 11 days, much longer than cycle 1. I have lost count of things i’ve started to eat and thrown/scraped in the bin, the freezer is full, the fridge and the cupboard and I can’t find one solitary thing to eat that I fancy. I have a permanent ‘nasty’ taste in my mouth which just doesn’t go no matter how many times a day I clean my teeth. The nausea has been bad too, mostly i’ve been able to control it with the meds, but at times I just haven’t. I had to get a prescription for Omeprazole on wednesday from my doctor as I hadn’t eaten for 32 hours, Complan was all I could get down. Then there’s the constant tiredness.......so debilitating. So Linds, I have offloaded, to make you feel better (chuckle), you offload WHENEVER you want, day or night. I really hope the coming days are kind to you. Hubby keeps saying, “every one down is a bit closer to your goal, we’ll get through this” he’s being kind and supportive of course but it doesn’t always help. Chin up Linds don’t be hard on yourself. Sending a MEGA hug, Lyn. XX

  • [@linds16][@Anna71]‍ , Hi ladies, I didn’t get any notifications, good luck for tomorrow with the picc line Z, i’ll be thinking of you. It’s 6 for me too every 3 weeks so I finish late June........ROLL ON!! Take care both. Lyn. XX
