  • [@linds16]‍ yes yea potatoe in fields it was our job at school instead of PE they used to take all class to fields snd we supposed to pick potatoes. It was fun day at that time all day in fields with bacets and tractor. That was at Soviet union times  and its not very easy especially if it's raining... but we enjoyed as a kids , sorry i went to much about it. Im planing to work while in chemo even if its few days it will keep me occupied instead of staying at hone, lets see how it goes. I know you working too in this situation and managing work and chrmo. X

  • [@linds16][@Anna71]‍ , how funny, so we all have something in common, I grew up in Jersey, we had a massive potato field outside our kitchen window full of Jersey Royal potatoes, when the farmer had gone over it with his harvesting machine my mum used to give him 20 pence (early 1970’s) )and we would get all the small marble sized potatoes that wouldn’t hold in the potato riddler- sacks of them. When I smell Jersey Royals today it still takes  me back all those decades. Happy times indeed.  It is a lovely sunny day today, so going to get going outside in an hour and get my hanging baskets done. I wish you two lovelies a peaceful week ahead, and luck for Thursday and Friday. Feeling a bit better today, earache not as bad. Lyn. XX

  • [@Anna71]‍ hi Z, I hope you got on okay yesterday, how did the MUGA go? I spent yesterday in bed, the earache was back with a vengeance. I’ve got awful tinnitus in my right ear too. I missed a lovely day, the sun was beaming through the blinds, never mind, hopefully today will be better. lyn. XX

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ oh no my lovely , we dont want to have this to stay in bed and pains , its that normal? Im free now ip to 19 th will do covid and bloods , my Muga scan its good and im ready for next treatment. Weather its so beautiful but its so cold reminds me Russia early days , night time its frosty and this is Easter not even Christmas, thats how it is. I wish you to gave better day today with plenty of sunshine i hope you will manage to gp for a walk. Xx

  • [@Anna71]‍ hi Z, What on earth are you doing up at this time? Lol! I’m glad your Muga is good and it’s all systems go. This chemo has hit a lot harder than the last, I felt not too bad a couple of days ago. I’ll speak to the doctor today about the earache - no point ringing the hospital as the car is in for a service today so we can’t get there. I wouldn’t say pain is normal in the early stages of chemo, stomach cramps, diarhorea, heartburn, irritating bits of this and that, but this ear pain is not good, it could be totally unrelated to chemo, it may be an ear infection? Not sure. Have a great day. Lyn. XX P.S. IT IS COLD, XX

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ good morning , oh yes my sleeping routine its very bad at the moment, iam very sleepy in the late evening and no much sleep early morning... you definitely need to contact your GP and get something for your earache asap, it's something need doctors attention. I can see that with every single week things its changing with your side effects, how is your hair? Oh yes i ordered three hads at Annabandana and they deliver it yesterday so happy with your advise , items its so lovely soft fabric and done beautifully so iam fully ready . Still have good week before my first chemo and weather its beautiful and sunny so more out for a walks even around local area its nice. Im thinking about you every day and sending my hugs xxxZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ Hi Z, I am just waiting for the doctor to ring me back for a phone consultation. Side effects do change every week for sure, sometimes different, and always different severity. My hair loss is about 60%. I’m pleased you liked Annabandana - so many others places are VERY expensive, people are making so much money from other peoples misery, it seems really wrong. Annabandana prices are soooo good. Did you buy bamboo caps? They are beautifully soft. Hugs to you too! XXXXXXX Lyn.

  • [@yorkiegal]‍ yesbi bought all of three bamboo caps jist different colours and style one of them turban. Even you lost lots of hair are you still going to use cold cup ? Eh thats how it is and we will face our reality its how it is. Wishing you feel better and be strong , we all together will pass this difficult time . XxxZ

  • [@Anna71]‍ Hi Z, I’m still going to cold cap yes, I don’t think it’s too difficult to put up with,  so it makes sense to still use it. If I can keep some hair around the front and sides i’ll be happy. It sounds like you have a variety of nice hats! I will need to start wearing mine, I have a big bald patch on the top. This time will pass for us Zana, that’s true! You are so optimistic, If we were in many different countries in the world things could be so much worse...... Sending you a hug! Lyn. • [@yorkiegal]‍ oh yes, i was thinking to tell you that in Lithuania you will get ordinary chemo but if you need Trastuzumab you have to pay ! That's reality, iam blessed to be in UK and NHS its best with all support and treatment. Iam hoping to have some hair too and wear cap on the top just to feel that there is some hair, iam not worry anymore about this little tips... have a lovely day xxZ
