Recently diagnosed with lobular breast cancer

Hi,

I've just recently been diagnosed with lobular breast cancer. I wondered if anyone else found that they were very tired before they even started treatment?  I have been extremely tired for about the last year but the cancer Nurse said you only get tired from cancer in the later stages. Just wondered what other people's experience of this was?

Also, the Nurse told me the cancer was staged and graded after the surgeon removed the lump but I thought it was done before that.

Any help/ feedback would be much appreciated.

  • Hi Lyn,

    Thanks for your response.

Yeah, I feel fatigued more than tiredness even.

I thought that the cancer was staged and graded after the biopsy but according to the Nurse I saw I would have to wait until the lump is removed - I'm a bit confused about it all.

I will be glad once I've had my MRI because apparently lobular cancer is a "sneaky one and good at hiding" at least after I've had the MRI I will know exactly what I'm actually facing.

    Take care and thanks.

    Dee

  • [@DeePat7]‍, No worries Dee, Could that be the case because its lobular? I have invasive ductal carcinoma, so totally different. I find it really odd, but every one on here is different I guess, you’d think she’d know. Anyway, all the best for the MRI, do let us know. All the best, Lyn. X
