Hi,
Sorry to hear it's spread. Did they stage you?
My tumour was ( I overheard during my colonoscopy) approx 4cm I've had it for some time with it being that size.
I've got a CT scan on Monday do they tell you anything or do you have to wait for the MRI results then a consultant meeting?
It still feels like a bad dream and it's not real, I just want to wake up from it x
My mums going through the 2 week fast track but her doctor doesn't know who has referred her to specialist and no one is explaining anything so confused, I'm sorry about your diagnosis and agree with other lady there are loads of positive stories and this forum to chat to people going through same is amazing, wish you all the best
Hi, I was diagnosed yesterday, awaiting CT scan on Thursday to see if it has spread. I am 61 and totally shocked and devastated. Where are you at now with your treatment and how are you coping?
Hi there, you have the CT scan and you do not get told anything you then go for the MRI and then wait until they book you to see a consultant and specialist nurse, who the. Explain everything to you.
I didn't ask what stage it was at I think I forgot.
keep me postedx
I know exactly how you feel, the panic keeps rearing up and I can't stop crying, you just never expect it to be you do you? This forum helps in that we are not alone at this scarey time x
Hi there,
is such a shock I know I was convinced I had IBS but was told today it had spread from the bowel to the cervix, urethra and liver so shock all round. Start chemo soon and will know more when I meet the team soon .
the staff are so lovely and keep you so informed and you can call them when you need to you will have a named nurse
keep me posted and good luck x
I haven't cried yet as I am so bloody stubborn and don't think I would stop if I started ! I just keep watching loads of stuff on Netflix to keep my mind of it xxx take care and keep me posted it helps to post stuff on here xx
Hi, thank you so much for your reply. I am so sorry to hear yours has spread so much, you much be in a right state! Thinking of you and I hope you get some positive treatment xx
Thank you for your message, yes a shock but I am sure once the chemo starts I will be on the track to beating it or at least shrinking it and then be able to have the operations needed xxx
keep me posted x
Hi,
Thanks x I don't want to know which stage I am or if it's a low rate success etc because I don't want to live thinking I'm going to die if you know what I mean. My Nanna had throat cancer obviously she knew what she had but didn't want to be told officially, because many years ago most C's were a death sentence.
You seem so much more upbeat then me, I wish I could be, I'm a wreck. I've not left the house since my colonoscopy, not got dressed or eaten just a chicken sandwich that my husband made me.
Take care x
