In March 2019 I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and after a number of TURBT procedures I opted for bladder removal as the best way to prevent the cancer spreading.
In September 2019 I had my bladder removed and a neobladder created. It was/is a tough recovery. Checkups in March were cancelled. Following my annual check in September I found out the cancer had spread to my lungs. Devastated.
Seems my left kidney also has a problem and as a result chemotherapy is not an option at the moment. Test for standard immunotherapy have come up negative so I'm relying on a trial for the next step.
Are there other trials that might be effective?
There doesn't appear to be any treatment that changes the prognosis by more than a couple of months.
