Hello I am sorry about your mums diagnosis.Googling is a very bad idea infirmations are really old  and useless.I have breast cancer stage 4 mets in my lungs.I was diagnosed in May 2019 and chemo still shrinking the nodules.I am only 43 and feeling pretty well.1x a week i have chemo and 2xweek i back in the office and working.It depends on the person how can cope with the chemo.I dont know how old is your mum but she has to live healthy if its possible to go for a walk everyday and think positively.Also I am eating everyday a bowl of assorted fruit to boost my immunity.Also she has to drink 2 l of water everyday.

I know googling is a bad idea, but I just struggle because I feel like we're getting so little info from the hospital, and I live and work in another town so never get to speak to the doctors.

It's good to know you're still going strong, she's in her early 60's, smoked all her life and never been in the best of health which is what worries me most, she's upbeat and feeling okay right now which is obviously wonderful. Shes having chemo once every 3 weeks at the moment. She cannot walk at the moment but hopefully once she can we can get her out for a walk and keeping fit and as healthy as can be. In hospital she has gained a slipped disc and broken humerus so the rehabilitation for those is impacting on her ability to get up and keep fit.
