  • Hello Deko62

Welcome to the forum although I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been told you have follicular lymphoma.

It's natural to be scared and worried after a cancer diagnosis. I think that most all our members here will have experienced that fear at some point so please don't feel that you're alone.

It's great to hear that the CT scan showed that there is no spread to your organs or bones and that your bloods are normal. This is a positive sign.
Follicular lymphoma is the most common type of low grade lymphoma and it's common for people who don't have symptoms to be on a watch and wait system. You will be regularly monitored for any symptoms as there is generally no evidence to show it is helpful to give treatment straight away to people if they don't have symptoms.

I wonder if you might find it helpful to have a chat with one of our friendly team of nurses? I'm sure that they will be able to answer some of your questions and offer some support and reassurance. You can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

I've linked our information page about follicular lymphoma above but if you'd like some more detailed information have a look at the Lymphoma Action website here. There's also some patient stories on their website of people who have been living with FL for many years.

I hope this helps to offer some reassurance.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
