Hi . I had my op on the 17 June so just one day behind you x. I was also kept in overnight as was initially in quite a bit of pain. I have to go back for results on 3 July. I am doing well with the exercises but need to go onto next level on Thursday. I was the same as you about the scars and also very pleasantly surprised at how neat they are. All stitches are internal and I have a few steri strips. Xx

Hi , it's a  scary time when your first diognosed with brest cancer or any cancer to be honest. And none of us know what to expect, i think the unkown  and the scans and tests and the waiting are the hardest parts of it all.

Im glad your operation went well, and i know how scared and brave you were going through it all. 

I was told  i would get a call from my surgeon  on  Monday the 29th june, to disscuss  the results of my operation, and to exolain to me what my nxt step of care should be.

As i mentioned  in my previous post we did touch on the subject of there being a possibility of me having to have to have another operation if there is cancer cells on the edge of the breast tumour or breast tissue that was taken  away.  I really do pray that this is not  the case, the thought of having to be opened up again fills me with dread. 

There was mention before when i was first diognosed on the 20th May, about having to have radiotherapy Mon/Frid  and double the dose (because if covid 19, to get it done quicker and limit the  covid  19 risk facter ). Plus there was talk of being put on Letrazole, which im not looking  forward to, if im honest.

The side effects of these drugs are not great...ie bone pain, muscle pain, sickness, constipation, dioreah, fatigue, hair loss., ive been reading up on it all.  But i keep telling myself everyone's body is different and responds to things differently. So if i have to i will  give it  a try, as you never know you might not get them all or better still none  at all.

I do hope we both get some giood news  very soon. 

Keep up.with the excercises  i to have more to add on  Wednesday, they look harder but hopefully we will get there , slowley and steady going forward, and i really  hope we both  continue to improve with  every  passing day. .

I am 46. went to breast clinic on 12 May and was told it was pretty certain BC. Had found a lump on 4 May. Told probably nothing to worry about by GP. Like you mamo did not show anything, the US did and they took biopsies and put a marker in. Was confirmed on 22 May it was Grade 2 invasive lobular cancer about 22 mm . Lymph nodes looked ok and mri confirmed this. Had lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy on 17 June. I will def need radiotherapy and 10 years of Tamoxifen but won't know about chemotherapy until my appointment on the 3 July.  Have been told same as you re further surgery etc xx
