Hello everyone,
My son Daniel (16) was diagnosed with a brain tumour 12 days ago after a Ct scan confirmed it.
He then had an MRI Scan and then a couple of days later a biopsy.
We learnt today that it's stage 4 , inoperable and incurable.
Every parents worst nightmare has just come to darken our door and my wife and Daniel's younger brother are all totally devastated.
Daniel has been the strongest of us all by some distance.
He is going to undergo radiotherapy soon and then chemotherapy in order to stop it growing and try to control it.
The experts are telling us it can't be cured.
We are all lost , devastated, confused and quite frankly saying to ourselves "why us" , why give this to a boy who is due to turn only 17 next week?
We will in due course seek professional counselling in order to try and cope as best as we can.
Can anyone offer any advice on how to cope mentally and also we are trying to look at alternatives with other pioneering new developments that we will explore to the maximum.
Has anyone experienced or heard of incurable cases that have been reversed through new inovative
proceedures?
Thanks.
