Chemotherapy before operation grade 2 ductal breast cancer

Hi there

New to this, just diagnosed on 27 April, do not know the stage, 4cm lump ductal, grade 2, in lymph node... , have been told I will be getting chemotherapy before a lumpectamy. I looked up I think it's called neo adjuvant therapy? 

 Really worried my immune system will be shot down before the operation, so might not heal the same/make it!!  All others seem to have to operation and then either chemotherapy or other treatments after. 

I kind of understand the reasoning with doing it this way with covid 19...but am absolutely terrified, have any others had treatment this way around please?

Oncologist appt on Monday, so any advice!/help/info would be hugely appreciated!!

    First of all so sorry to hear this, I haven't had any experience with this, I went to the doctors on monday cause I have bloody discharge from my right nipple went to the breast clinic wednesday and had an ultrasound but they said they couldn't see anything and I have to now do a diary and go back in a few weeks time and am terrified there is something wrong, could I ask you what your symptoms where

    Hi there, thank you for your response.   I am sorry you are having to wait to find out what is going on, the waiting is not easy.

    In my case it was just that I found a large lump, only after diagnosis did I think, I have been tired alot.   

    Hopefully you will get on fine from now on and it turns out to be nothing sinister.
