welcome to the club that none of us wants to be in but postive mental attitude is whatbgot me through it. Ok treatment is pretty brutal but if I can do it anyine can 

if yiu need to know anyth8ng just ask ,I am niw 19 month post radiotherapy for tonsil cancer with several affected lymph nodes and now living life to the Max.

Thanks Hazel, can't say I'm looking forward to treatment but it's better than the alternative isn't it. I'm positive I'll get through it but may ask loads of questions along the way.

Hi Shelly yes deffo better than the alternatives , best advise I can give for now eat as much as yiu can as you will loose weight so cream cakes at thenteady

Exactly the same as me Shelly base of tongue SCC  except I don't know my stage yet. I have swollen lymph so I will have a biopsy and CT scan next week . I have had my MRI & also told no surgery just 6 chemo once a week and 6 weeks of radiotherapy 5 days a week . Nightmare X I hope you are ok .it looks like we will be doing this at the same time !

The not knowing drove me insane and even though I know I've a tough road ahead I'm up for the fight knowing what to expect. My chances are good  the doctor says. Had my biopsy and CT scan, MRI is this Monday, it's all gobbledy *** to me as I've never done ill before. 

Fingers crossed for your biopsy and CT scan, hope you're ok.

 I'm ok Shelly Pretty the same as you I should imagine .  . I'm just going to do what I'm told and try and get out the other side as best I can . !  I'm stressed I think as I have a persistent pain in the back of my head along with ear ache the opposite side to my cancer & im exhausted for some reason . ! We just have to get on with it now don't we ? X x x

I think stress makes everything seem much worse, I have a cold and was convinced that being chesty meant that it must've spead to my lungs etc. Doesn't matter how much anyone say's don't worry and stay positive ......like that's gonna work! I've imagined every worse case scenario and planned my funeral etc so I'm now quite chilled that I may not die after all haha.
