Hi Susanl,
It may be that an MRI is not needed in your case, but I'd suggest you speak to your doctor about it and they may be able to tell you more.
Best wishes,

Hi, I never had an MRI either..or a pet scan...think it was because there were no lymph nodes involved?
Good luck with the mastectomy love ..
I have just finished a 16 day course after radiotherapy for breast cancer ( which was successfully treated by removing the cancerous tissue around my breast via surgery but without having to remove my breast even though diagnosed as stage 3 highly invasive) although I should be feeling elated as I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones I don't. I feel tired, depressed, very very lonely and have terrible trouble sleeping without medication which I now take prescribed from my doctor in a nightly basis. I've shut my friends albeit not very many) and family out even though they want to help. I talk to my beautiful lovely dog and go out only to take her for her walk each day. I just feel at the age of 71 what's the point . I only get up because of my constant companion my lovely dog who is now 15 years old. I don't want pills for depression neither do I want sympathy. I just want to feel life is worth living again!!!
