I have recently been diagnosed with ulveal melanoma.  It's near my optic nerve and about 10mm x 100mm and 2.5mm deep. Booked for proton beam therapy in March. I have been asked about taking a sample for genetic profiling to give me some idea in my prevalence on when it may mastitis . I am unsure whether to have this information.  Has anyone had this and found it helpful to them .
