  • Hello Parkie85,

I just wanted to drop by to wish you the very best of luck for your procedures on Monday. I hope it all goes well for you. I thought I'd let you know that we have some information on our website on the partial cystectomy which you can read here. It is normal to be worried as the day of your surgery gets closer and I hope that you will hear from some of our members who have had a similar diagnosis before and have been through it all so that they can tell you how things went for them and how recovery and daily life was afterwards.

Feel free to give our nurses a call too on this free number if you have any questions or want any tips ahead of your surgery- you can ring them on this free number 0808 800 4040 and their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope you will also hear from others who have had a similar type of surgery before. Keep us updated if you have a second on how it all went. We'll be thinking of you on Monday!

    Best wishes,

  • Hi, Hope all is well after the op. I had a similar diagnosis three years ago, low grade tumour and had urachus removal and partial cyctectomy. I understand that this a a fairly rare diagnosis. All went well with my op except for the two weeks with a catheter which was very uncomfortable. I have a yearly check up with blood tests and a CT scan, I am fine with no re-occurance or re-growth. I have a normal life with no complications or discomfort from the problem. I am told that if the next  tests ( 2020 ) are clear I will not have to undergo any furthe testing. Keep positive and you should be fine. All the best for the future.
