Hello , my husband was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer that had already spread to his brain upon diagnosis in April. This was a huge shock as my husband is only 44 and just had a fit out of the blue which led to the diagnosis. He was given targeted radiotherapy on the 3 brain tumours and immunotherapy every 3 weeks since diagnosis but after recent scans we have been told that nothing has worked and the cancer has spread all over his brain and into his adrenal gland and spine. Immunotherapy has been stopped and he is starting chemo on Tuesday. Without chemo he will only live weeks but with chemo we have been told he could live a year. I am so scared of sepsis and germs as we have a 10 and 5 year old little boys. We also have a little dog which I am concerned will cause greater risk of germs and infections. Can anybody give me advice on how to minimise risk with young children and general advice and experiences would be so much appreciated. Thanks
