HER2 postive

Hi. Was diagnosed on 10th October grade 3 high dics Her2 positive. I also take warfarin for Antiphosplipid syndrome.

I'm having a lumpectomy and removal of lymph nodes on 5th November and then so far told radiotherapy.

I'm very worried this will not be enough or they dont want to treat me as no one seems to know what Antiphosplipid syndrome is?

Can any one reassure me this is currently the best plan??

  • Hi there and welcome ..

Well I'm a grade 3 her2 neg oestrogen positive lump.. well I'm not the lump was ...

My mum used to take warfarin... so I know a little .. but even though they don't know much about your syndrome.. they will more then likely be finding things out .. so trust they will be fighting in your corner ..

They will also biopsy whole lump after and lymph nodes... to get a clearer picture ... most of this cancer journey wer on is just try to let go .. let the team help you, trust things always can change .. no treatments written in stone ..

I thought it was over when I got told .. I organised everything .. wrote letters .. as I have lots of health issues too .. so thought game over ... but here I am 2 years 4 months down the line .. spent xmas in Disney Florida.. and booked for next Feb with family .. those letters I wrote .. they are tucked away safely ... hopefully for a while yet ..

There's lots of us breast lasses on here.. different stages and treatments,  but all trying to kick cancers butt ... welcome aboard...  Chrissie xx

  • Hello, I can only concur with everything our chriss has said. Nothing is set in stone, you will have a clearer picture once the gremlin is examined. I was her2+ too, herceptin is our wonder drug! But that will be further down the line for you....now I'm off to google antiphosplipid!!!
