Newly diagnosed DCIS

I'm 29. Have been diagnosed with DCIS.

I've had multiple biopsies. The latest being a wide excision.

They're still unclear of the margins and I'm booked in for an MRI imminently.

Such a confusing time.

I'm well aware that it's non aggressive, non life threatening.

Doesn't make it any easier though right.. Or am I being dramatic ‍♀️

Sorry to hear you've had to go through all of this at such a young age. I was diagnosed with DCIS last year, but post op found invasive. Like you I had wide area incisions. It can be confusing as there are so many tests one has to go through. Don't think because you had DCIS that its insignificant, you've been through a lot.so be as dramatic as you like :)

Your reply resonated with me as on two occasions a breast care nurse has told me I don't have proper cancer , I'm not sure how i was supposed to react to that but I almost get I needed to apologise
