I’ve had my diagnosis: I have breast cancer

I have breast cancer, as it’s affected my lymph nodes I also have to have a bone scan (next Tuesday) and a CT scan to see if it’s spread, then when they have all the results, the best form of treatment will be decided upon.

I’m no longer worried now I have the  diagnosis, just want to fight this disease.

Keep saying my positive pants are pulled up so high I’m giving myself a wedgie.

  • Hello Debknits,

I just wanted to welcome you with open arms to our forum. I hope you don't mind but I have added the words "I have breast cancer" to your title as this will give your post greater visibility and will increase the chances of another lady who has had breast cancer responding and hopefully sharing her experience with you. You are definitely not alone here - we have some lovely ladies who have been affected by breast cancer as for example [@Chriss]‍ or [@Marlyn]‍ just to name a few and I hope you will get talking here soon to others who will know only too well how you are feeling at the moment having recently been diagnosed and waiting to find out what form of treatment you will be having.

It's great you are in such good spirits - as you say, sometimes the worry is most intense prior to a diagnosis when dealing with uncertainty. I hope you find out more very soon and that you know what the treatment plan of action will be.

You will be in good hands on this forum as there are so many lovely  ladies who have been through all this before. You will see they are a great bunch!

    Best wishes,

  • [[ ]]Thanks for the reply Lucie

Although I still don’t yet have a firm diagnosis - have a bone scan Tuesday and CT scan Friday I am trying to be as positive as I can .

I work as a TA in a primary school - year 1 and the support from staff and parents has been absolutely amazing.

The letter sent home to parents is an example of their love.
