Just had a biopsy which was really painful as I have breast implants and they struggled to get it. They were confident it’s just a fibroadenoma but I’m still stressing. Has anyone been told it’s just a fibroadenoma and it turned out to be malignant?

Hi, I'm sorry to say this was true in my case.....but please don't automatically think it will be the same for you....I couldn't help thinking that they shouldn't have said anything at all until they had the biopsy results, as they got my hopes up...then to come crashing down.....
just remember....that this may well be a fibroadenoma for you.....try not to dwell too much, do you get results in 2 weeks? Xx
I’ve been following your story on here and can’t believe what you’re going through. I know it’s rare but the worry of that is still strong. Was your lump smooth and oval like they expect a fibroadenoma to look like? X
Hi, yes it was.....it showed all the classic signs....and when the consultant called me in after my mammograms and ultra sound, I remember her saying " please don't worry....I'm not at all concerned, we just want it confirmed as fibroadenoma " so of course off I skipped quite happily.....
please do let let us know your results? I'm keeping it all crossed for you Hun...xx
Bloody hell, that must have been an awful shock! Did you have any other symptoms? I’ll let you know when I find out xx
Yes it was a shock, but the biggest shock was after the biopsy being told chemo was highly unlikely.....then to have a phone call ( just as I was doing my roots) to be told I needed chemo as I was her2 pos and I was to start in a weeks time!! I think that was the biggest shock for me....I had my hopes built up twice!
But this wont be the case for you....xxxxx
How are you now? X
My chemo was stopped after 4 cycles as my side effects were in danger of becoming permanent. I start rads and herceptin next week, still a way to go yet but I'm getting there! Xx
Absolutely awful. Sending you lots of positivity xx
Hi, just thought I’d give you an update. It was cancer! Had my lumpectomy 2 weeks ago and will start chemo in a few weeks!
I do hope everything goes well for you and treatment is not too upsetting or painful.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery
