Hi everyone , I’m 44 recently diagnosed with Breast cancer DCIS and also hormone positive . Its in my lymph nodes aswell . Had CT , Bone Scan and MRI . I’m back on Tuesday to find out results . I’m freaked out having pain in the middle of my back and kept thinking it’s spread . Everyone says it’s stress . I’m fairly healthy never smoked . Just wondering has anyone any advice please . Xx

    Hi BigJules,

It's good to hear from you and, to discover that you are still managing to cope with your chemo.

It's hard to believe that your next session will be your last one. It is certainly worth mentioning the slight pain on and off in your good boob and under your arm, when you see your Dr next Friday.

Here's hoping that it is nothing untoward.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi Jolamine,

thank you for your reply. Hope you are keeping well . Yes I will mention it next week just really hope it isn’t anything to worry about as my mind as usual is already thinking the worst !!

I will be glad when the AC chemo is finished but to be honest it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I then start Taxol and Herceptin so hopefully that will be as easy and the weeks go quickly aswell .

Thank you again for taking the time to reply

    take care

    Hi BigJean,

Like you, I hope that this is nothing to worry about, but you are best to let the doctors know of any changes as soon as possible

Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you on Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

just tagging [@babs50]‍ into the thread. Hope everyone is ok.

I looked into Microblading for eyebrows but they won’t do it due to risk of infection so I have a consultation for henna brows to see if that’s any good.

Cycle two tomorrow, and my second reiki session today.

    wish me luck.

Please let us know how you find the henna brows.
I hope that all goes well for cycle 2 tomorrow.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi swiperbaby

glad you are recovering well from your mastectomy. My movement is quite good but still can’t raise my arm over my head but still doing the exercises given. My upper arm is still numb but more so underneath. Having to shave my armpit in a mirror as can’t feel what I’m doing. Have been told feeling might not come back but it’s not really an issue until I have to shave.

Due to start chemo 5 July . Had tooth out Thursday and now got infection so on strong antibiotics to try and get rid before chemo starts.

Hopefully you won’t need any further treatment Hun x take care

    Hi Swiperbaby,

I’m sure that you are happy to get your mastectomy behind you and, glad that it all went well. Are you due to get your pathology results at the end of this week too? I hope that it is all good news.

Enjoy your reprieve for the next month or so and, make the most of this time with your children.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi MeJules,

I am glad to hear that you have had your teeth attended to, but am sorry that you now have an infection. It should heal up in plenty of time for you to start chemo.

I hope that it all goes well.

Will be thinking of you on 5th July.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • [@Jolamine][@Woollylamb][@BigJean]‍ hi all hope all is well. Just a little update. Was blue lighted into hospital yesterday morning had a few fits/fainted. They thought it was sepsis and then cancer on the brain. Luckily CT scan back ok and had mri this morning. Just waiting for results but they hoping it was just a severe reaction to the antibiotics for my tooth. Hopefully chemo can still go ahead on 5th x

    take care all
