  • Hello BigJean

It’s good to hear from you - thank you for replying. It’s so good to know we’re not on our own on this journey, although I wish none of us were on it in the first place. I really hope you get your drain out today or tomorrow and that you can catch up on some sleep. You sound very positive though and I know that will really help, both physically and mentally in our recoveries. I’m trying to get there and today has been fractionally easier than yesterday.

Sending you too my best wishes

    Helen xx

  • Hey

my results are a week today. I may have to go back in for another op as some of my wound hasn't healed properly, will find out on Thursday. . So I'm a bit gutted about that , but I've got to think about the long term. Other than that I am good, sleeping much better, up and about more.

I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday. X

  •

    Hi BigJean,

I'm glad to hear that you are now able to sleep on your right, although sorry to hear that you are still not getting much sleep. To be honest, I didn't either until I got the pathology results.

I'm hoping and praying that it will be good news for you on Wednesday.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi Woollylamb,

I hope that you don't have to go in for another operation. I can fully understand why you feel so gutted about this. You've not been all that lucky with your operations, have you?

Here's hoping that things will look better by Thursday and that you won't have to have another procedure.

I'll be thinking of you on Thursday and keeping my fingers crossed.

    Jolamine xx

  • I’ll be thinking of you both, Woollylamb & BigJean, & praying that you both have good results tomorrow & Monday. Jolamine, thank you for your continued positivity & support, & Lorraine, I hope you’re having a relaxing time with your sister & mum. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. Xx

  • Hi [@BigJean]‍

That is the most amazing news, I got emotional just reading it. I am so so pleased for you. I hope you are going to celebrate somehow.

I'm going back into theatre this morning for them to tidy up my breast wound as a bit of it hasn't healed the way they want it to. Nothing major but they want to get it right. I'm hoping I'll be out to go to my results appointment on Monday as I'm quite anxious about it and want to get it out of the way.

You've made my day with your news.

  • Hi WL,

thank you so much . I’m praying and sending positive thoughts to you while you are having surgery this morning. This will be you next week saying the same thing I just know it . It’s been a long road but we will all get there ,

let me know how your operation goes .

    Take care

  • Hi BigJean

What fantastic news you have received and I have a feeling you must be walking on "Cloud Nine" today.  My goodness you are really going to be celebrating now after all you have gone through....

I have been reading your posts and you truly are inspirational and to read your message today is just wonderful.

Looking forward to hearing when the other ladies, myself included, feel as good as you do today.

  • Hi

Op went well, consultant is pleased I've got a special wound vacuum on, but will need a skin graft next week, so I have to stay in hospital until that's done which I'm frustrated about, but what's one week out of the rest of my life.
I'm going to call my breast nurse about my Monday appointment as I'm in a different  hospital so can't get there, holding they will give me them over the phone instead.

I am still proper chuffed for you. I was thinking about you when I went all woozy for my op.

  • Hi WL ,

so thrilled your operation went well . It’s all over now so just concentrate on getting better .

You never know you might get out quicker than you think but if you don’t it’s not a big deal as you said what’s a week out of the rest of your life .

Im really hoping they give you your results over the phone .

You are so good I’ve found we have been a very good support to each other while we are going through this journey.

Sending you a huge hug .

    Sleep well and take care

  • [@BigJean]‍ I have cried many tears over this journey but I have bawled like a baby after reading this. This is fantastic news and I am delighted for you. Sending you massive virtual hugs xx

  • [@Woollylamb]‍ hi so glad your op went well although being in hospital awaiting your skin graft isn’t the best it be worth it on the end. Fingers crossed you can still get your results Monday will be thinking of you on Monday x take care and try and recover from op well x

  •

    Oh BigJean,

This is absolutey fantastic. It makes all the suffering you felt going through chemo worthwhile! -  I can only  imagine how relieved you feel today.

Radiation should be a breeze in comparison to chemo. Have you been told when you are going to start it, or how many sessions you are likely to have?

You were certainly due to get some good news and, I'm so glad that you got it.

    kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi Woolylamb,

I'm glad to hear that your op went well, but sorry to hear that you have to have a skin graft next week. You're quite right. An extra week is as nothing out of the rest of your life and, you're just as well to get things right from the start.

It's just a pity that it had to be next week, when you are due to get your results on Monday. If they cannot give you your results over the phone, perhaps your plastic surgeon could tell you the results. Whichever way, I hope that your news as as good as BigJean's.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
