hi I've 69 posted  and had a scan for groin pain which is a small hernia but I got told womb lining is 11mm and dr said   suspected  gynaecological cancer I feel like I'm in a dream I can't concentrate I sont want to do anything   due hysteroscopy  on Saturday  so hopefully  they can tell me something  I've also got fibroids 

Hi I'm new to the forum and begging for some support as I'm terrified 

I went for vaginal scan yesterday and they found thickening of my womb 9.8 I've been on HRT with spotting on and over the last year. They also say my endometrium is irregular. I paid privately as couldn't wait for 2 week pathway as bleeding heavily. I have no pain or cramps. I'm about to discuss results with gp but terrified is not the word ! I haven't slept or ate for days anyone else going through this ? 

hi Laney how did they diagnose it through ultrasound  scan I've just had ab normal scan and have hysteroscopy tomorrow I'm worried sick x

MC1 its just the worst thing ever waiting ! To be honest I spoke with a soniographer today at the hospital who said the thickness is not anything to worry about she'd be more worried about 25/30 ! I'm on HRT and said 9.8 is ok. Gave me some hope ! Thickening can also be lots of other things like polyps cysts which is really common. Did they say you had any masses or lesions ? If not that's a great sign. Hernia is not related to womb cancer

Hi no no masses few fibroids in 69 so not on htt mine 11mm  how old are you if you don't mind me asking . because of my age I have been told it's a higher risk of cancer  which worried me  it's saying thickened endrometrium with few cystic spaces. I've also got a fibroid in the myetrium it says on the report 

If you are on hrt the lining can be thicker from what I've been told how have you gone on Have you had your hystroscopy and results yet

Hi no tests done yet going for nhs scan on Monday. I had a private scan showed 9.7 which according to them was abnormal in shape and thickness no masses detected ! Bonus ! 
Went to gp armed with this abnormal scan he didn't give me any hope only diazepam to calm my nerves. Called hospital for a cancellation this morning and that's when I spoke to a wonderful lady soniographer in floods of tears. Me declaring my readings and gripped in fear. She said to me well that sounds pretty normal to me on HRT but sounds like hormones everywhere from HRT. Then went on to say if you were saying 25/30 I would be concerned but not to worry ! Anyway my scan is Monday morning now. I'm still totally petrified and googling like mad ! How are you feeling ? Positive about no masses and I know polyps cause thickening which I don't have. Xxx

Hi I'm the same as you my nerves are all over the place I'm 69 well 70 last week so a good 12 yrs older than you and not on hot so can blame that on the thickening I asked about the vagifem estrogen  pessaries  I was given told to insert one every day by the gynea dept that was 12 month ago now dr says one twice a month I was told they won't cause it .I'm due my hysteroscopy  in few hrs and dread it as I know a lot fail as I've been told it's painful just hoping I can get it done ok I will send you a friend  request so I can pm you if that's OK xx

Please do send me a request but honestly your thickening mm is not indicative of cancer at this stage if it is it will be low grade and hysterectomy will be done. Try keep positve no masses or lesions detected and your age cancer grow slowly. Estrogen does cause thickening of the womb let me know how you get on
