Ultrasound was uncomfortable, she couldn't find my left ovary and she also told me she hadn't seen anything horribly horrendous. She believe the heavy bleeding was most likely an early miscarriage. I thought that was such an odd phrase. GP went through what was seen the next day... my endometrial lining was thick, I believe 15-16mm and no sign of my left ovary. At this point she said it would be a referral to Gyne and it was after smear, swabs and exam that she said it would be under the 2 week referral. It wasn't until I then saw the consultant who then told me they may have seen cysts at the ultrasound but they weren't sure. 

Hello I've just come across your post hope you don't mind me asking but have you had your results yet ! I'm 37 and waiting on what's next after my scan on Thursday came up as thick womb lining and possibly 10mm polyp terrified 

I'm unsure of my lining thickness I don't remember them telling me just 10 mm polyp possibly, on Thursdays scan , just waiting on what's next now not been told what's next just probably have to get it tested , hope you get sorted soon sounds like it's been a while for you , i can't cope with this horrible feeling on fear and anxiety! 

Hi, no of course I don't mind you asking, no not had my results as yet... had a biopsy on 26th June, so just over 2 weeks by a day. Have you had a biopsy yet? 

No not had biopsy for that yet but mines not looking great , it all started for me with irregular periods , bit of tummy and back aches , then what cause me to ring doctors was started bleeding after intercourse , had a biopsy of cervix said had a erosion took biopsy not had results of that yet , then had a scan the next day which was Thursday 2 days ago , and they seem thickening of womb and possibly 10mm polyp? Terrified isn't the word 

My symptoms are very similar to yours, I had a very heavy bleed 2nd week of June which prompted the Drs visit but I have been irregular since December last year. I have erosion, and some of my cells that should be in my womb are on my cervix but I've been told that they look okay... 

I am sorry you feel terrified... I am also feeling that way. Have you got family and friends to support you through this? 

Yes I do thank you , I hope you do to , I still can't help but not eat sleep and worrying.  I have a 5 year old almost and just scares me not knowing if  I'm going to be here for him ! , I only had a ultrasound to find the thickening and suspected polyp, because I'm still healing from biopsy off cervix !x

I had ultrasound last week sonographer suspected uterine polyp. Scan was near my period.

Dr sent me for blood test all normal.

Went today for biopsy but couldn't be taken as I have a small opening due to having LLETZ in past for adnormal cells. Have another scan monday as gyane said couldve just been me starting my period. But if scan monday still shows then I'll have to be booked in for hysterectopy.

Worried out of my brain.

Hello I had same thing had a ultrasound she said thickening of womb possibly polyp, and something about 10mm I'm booked in on Tuesday for hysterectomy so scared it's the c word !!! I went to gp with bleeding after intercourse irregular periods pain lower back tummy and water discharge,, had cervical biopsy had eriosion and silver nitrate done biopsy came back normal ! Then scan knocked me for 6 , with finding something else , so just waiting on the hysterectomy test now , on Tuesday so scared praying it's all going to be ok , but can't help fearing it's bad with the symptoms I'm getting
