Me too......had a recall on mammogram then biopsy and armpit aspiration. Stage 2 invasive carcinoma with spread to lymph nodes.  Mine is oestrogen receptive.  I am awaiting letter to have surgery.  

I know how it feels to feel numb.  I am trying to stay positive and look at all the ladies here who have beaten this breast cancer.  The survival rate is very high and I’m trying to focus on that.  

But, I know how you are feeling because I’m feeling it too xx

I was diagnosed with high grade DCIS last March last and subsequently invasive cancer post op. I had bilateral wide area incisions and underwent two operations plus lymph nodes removal, thankfully these were clear, thereafter radiotherapy. It can be a scary time but I felt better once I knew what I was dealing with, the surgeries themselves were easy and painless. Quick recovery and now getting on with my life.

I am so sorry about your diagnosis. Its just the worst thing to hear. I feel sick to my stomach with it.

I think you’re reaction to chemo is perfectly normal. My take is a little different, I wanted chemo as I felt I had waited too long for the cancer to be removed and it could have entered my blood stream. I saw chemo as saviour rather than something to fear. I just wanted everything thrown at it. At the end of the day what we all want is to live and if the treatment offered allows us that then we should embrace it.

Really scared of chemo but, after reading your thoughts, have turned it around. I look forward to having a chance to live longer.

My surgery came through for 3 April.  I am having lumpectomy and axilla clearance as cancer cells were found there.  Does anybody know how long after this surgery I should expect to start chemo?

Hi, I totally agree with magpiemaggie, I'm her2 pos ( started as neg was retested and now pos) I'm currently going through chemotherapy, I didn't argue , I want to throw everything at this to prevent any chance of reoccurrence in the future...it's my belt and braces if you like....

petgrn....I had my lumpectomy 3 rd jan and chemo started 14 th Feb....so was pretty quick for me! Xxxx
