Tonsil cancer

I have recently started radiation treatment for tonsil cancer, and after 3 days they had to change my programme as it had spread aggressive in the tonsil area, I am experiencing nausea the medication isn’t really helping, I cannot eat and have drinks via my peg but finding it hard to have enough, dry mouth and sometimes feel like I’m not breathing but my oxygen levels are all ok, is anyone else like this and any advise would be appreciated.

    haze,

  • yes I first posted on Macmillan, I have really suffered since starting radiation treatment, the consultant said with it getting aggressive they would normally combine it with chemo but due to my other health problems this isn’t safe, I find it difficult to talk, always feeling like my throat is closing up, and wasn’t expecting the nausea feeling this quick as only had 9 treatments, I will have a look at your blog as it does help knowing it’s not just you going through this and reading the success story’s, I’ve witnessed a few ringing the bell while waiting for my appointments.

    many thanks
