Welcome to the forum Maz although I'm sorry about your partner's diagnosis.
[@Cassier] and [@KateT] are also supporting loved ones with this diagnosis so I thought I'd put you in touch with them in case you wanted to chat about what you're going through. [@davek] has been living with stage 4 oesophageal cancer for many years now so may be an invaluable source of support and advice as well.
Supporting someone with cancer is tough but you are not alone.
My sister was diagnosed stage 4 EC July 2018 and it was a real shock to both of us. She is 56 years old and has lead a very active life so this diagnosis was completely unexpected.
