Hi Jar
Oh how awful. I’m so sorry.
Glad you have found yourself here because this forum is a great place to come to if you need a chat or to be around people in the know xx
My Mum was also diagnosed with lung cancer (NSCLC) - I remember the early days of her diagnosis and how that felt.
Whats next for your Mum in terms of any treatment? Perhaps - as she has just been diagnosed, that is still to be discussed.
Please do come back to the forum anytime you need. Sadly there are a fair few others who are on the same journey xx
My mother in law was diagnosed yesterday - got a bipospy booked for next week. They mentioned something to her that they think hers has spread to some of her bones. Like you, lost in a world of waiting, thinking and the unknown x
Hi,
My Mother In Law had the same news four weeks ago, and started radiotherapy yesterday.
She'd had various tests over the last few years relating to her breathing and a hernia in the chest. I keep wondering if the cancer has been there for a while, undiagnosed, or if it has just taken hold quite quickly (it's spread to the liver, brain and spine now) - does anyone have a similar experience?
No cancer specialist has sat down with her or the family yet either to discuss her plan.
Thanks and thinking of everyone going through this
