Hiya Kiki,

Im really sorry to hear about everything your going through at the moment, once they find something wrong like this its like a landslide of emotions as you have to deal with diagnosis then treatement and everything else that comes with it! I was also diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer which was rare and aggressive so like you everything happened so quickly, I didnt really have time to process anything. Cancer can be such a lonely journey but it doesn't have to be. We are always here when you need support and there is always plently of people who know how you feel and what you're going through. I'm sorry they didn't manage to get it all in surgery and I hope you are healing well. When do you start your chemo? I hope your side effects are as easy going as they can be. Like you I had my surgery first and luckily they got it all but I still had chemo and radio and brachytherapy to hopefully keep it from returning. Any questions you have or anything you want to know I am more than happy to talk about so feel free to ask anything. Remember we are here for you and will help and support you as much as we can,

I am staying positive but untill they have the MDT meeting I don’t know what next steps will be regarding  the chemotherapy  . It is a real emotional rollercoaster as I feel I have to be strong for my children , family and friends but don’t have anyone to sound off to . My husband has just been diagnosed unfortunately the lump that he discovered has been confirmed as a secondary cancer and we are now waiting for more tests to find the primary from them telling us the results of the original lump biopsy its beem 3 weeks and we are still waiting. We have young children and as yet havent told them as we dont have answers thst i know they will ask,

I have just come across your post and wondered how you are doing Kiki and your husband Bree? My dad has just been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer also, he had a lump removed in March from his chest and we were told it was secondary cancer. All scans came back clear and his bloods and hormones so lots of doctors have been studying his case. We recently had the diagnosis of Neuroendocrine tumour and he  needs a Gallum 68 scan I think it’s called to see if they can locate the primary. They have said he is a very very rare case. We have had so many ups and downs the past few months with scan results. I am incredibly close to my parents and have found it very hard to cope with the shock and the emotions that come with a cancer diagnosis. I hope you are both now on the road to recovery.
