Has anyone gone through radiotherepy and chemo to the head and neck without having a feeding tube fitted? I really dont want it and read Michael Douglas the actor managed without it .

i am61 year olds female who is a wimp if I can do it anyone’s can. Only thing I would say is if your consultant says yiu need one there is a fair chance that the radiotherapy will be covering both sides of your throats they don’t put them in lightly . Just because no it’s in as well de,emend yiu don’t have to always use it but it’s much harder on your body if uiubhave it whilst having radiotherapy as u are debilitated as it is. Just ask consultant reason why
