Hi new to forum. Not sure how I feel. After catching my large ovarian tumour at stage 1 with no spread to nodes I have to have chemo due to it rupturing in surgery. Am to be in for 7 hours. Anyone else in similar situ.

Hello Doodlegirl,
I just wanted to drop by and wish you good luck for your first chemo tomorrow. As you prepare yourself for this long day tomorrow, I hope you will hear from some of our members' chemotherapy experiences. I have often read here how they recommend you bring a good book or a Kindle to pass the time.
I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis but it is good to hear that the tumour is at stage 1 with no spread to nodes. I can imagine you must be feeling conflicted and a bit anxious not knowing what to expect from your first chemotherapy treatment. We have some information on chemotherapy for ovarian cancer here which I hope you will find useful.
I will now let some of our lovely members come and share their chemotherapy experiences with you as there's nothing like hearing from personal stories to help you prepare for tomorrow.
Our nurses are also available on this number 0808 800 4040 - it's a free helpline which is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Let us know how it goes! We'll be thinking of you.
Best wishes,
Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
Hi Doodlegirl,
I hope today has gone as well as can be expected. Hope you feel up to coming back on-line and letting us know how it went.
Sorry I missed your post until now so didn't get to wish you luck.
While I have a different cancer to you I have had 18 weeks of chemo and there are always some common elements so happy to chat if it helps. It's very much an individual thing and I'm hoping you've found it quite easy.
Give us a shout when you're recovered enough and let us know how you are.
