I went 6 months ago to my dr after finding a lump was told it was nothing 2 weeks ago asked my husband to see if he could feel anything found it straight away went next day again told it was nothing but for my piece of mind would refer me to hospital has I had now been twice went Monday on my own after scan biopsy was given the news it was cancer and would find out next week what grade and the next step so angry don't feel as I can trust any doctor

    Hi Vessy, welcome to our friendly forum where we all help each other.   There are quite a few of us have been let down by our GP but they are general practitioners not trained in one area of a specific illness.  I was angry when my husband spent six months attending our surgery before lung cancer was diagnosed .  So we had to put our faith in our Oncologist and trust her advice.   My  husband is now stable and we have put the anger away because it uses too much energy.  So let us know what happens and some one will always help you.  Sending warm thoughts your way.  Carol

    I was going to my GP for nearly 3 years with blood & clots in my urine.Always told this was normal.

    Then I found out my GP uses a paramedic for home visits & test results (told by reception)

    I had tried to change GP's but none available in my area.

    As I'm diabetic & have  regular blood tests so took a urine sample with me...gosh things started moving then (bladder cancer confirmed after a scope & CT scan)

    Thanks for support but a lump in the breast I just can't get over 2 dr couldn't find it still getting my head round it but thanks again for support

    Hi sorry you had to push your gp its not just the gps the specialists r not much better its this wait and c blasei attitude they have now ive lost faith in medcal professionals i thnk the are surrounded be sicohants so they think there gods then when they cockup they disapear into the nhs woodwork they took my partners chances away so you make a noise its the only way to gee this lot up i hope it all goes well for you and you let us all know how your getting on best wishs .paul ps i make a point of seeing the younger gps now they are more keen and tend to be a bit more modern
