Letrozole Tablet treatment

Hi all,

Just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and at present I am unsure if surgery or tablet treatment - hospital tomorrow to be assessed if surgery is an option because of my weight - Just wondering if anyone else on here has had Letrozole tablets for treatment and if so, what the side affects were if any.

    Hi Dee64.

    I've bin on Letrezole now for about 18months it was terrible at the start took months bfore I felt "normal", Aches n pains especialy in my joints hands n fingers cramp. Mood swings kept on cos my oncologist said it goes away all the symptoms yea but took took me. I'm still on it,  had few radiotherapy sessions. I just FIGHT it everyday the fatigue is terrible everyday. But I feel lucky towards wat alot of these women are going through

    Quick  update - had appointment with Pre-op team today, surgery for the moment is not an option as I need to lose weight and get my BMI down, pencilled in for beginning of May, so pressure is on , but they are now 90% sure I have sleep apnea, so bloods have been done and waiting for result, if it comes back positive I will then need to see the sleep assessement people - and it goes on and more problems to deal with :)

    Appointment with consultant on Friday so will see if I will be starting on the Letrozole .....
