Hi

Hi all

Just joined as my mum has just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.  She's at stage 3c and has been given just 6 months without chemo and/or surgery. It is currently inoperable but a small chance that chemo could reduce it enough for surgery.  She has a shorr time now to decide whether to go ahead with chemo

  • Hi Whitedove,

So sorry to hear your news.  I've been through the cancer thing twice with my mum (and now she's going through it with me), it's so hard to see loved ones go through it.

My chemo experience has been relatively easy so far, but everyone's is different obviously.

Whatever your mum decides (might it help her to come on here too?) remember to look after yourself, it's easy for loved ones to neglect their own mental and physical health in these circumstances.

Please stay on and ask any questions you have, lots of great people on here and undoubtedly someone will have had very much the same experience and be able to give you some advice/comfort or whatever you need.

    Best wishes,

    LJx
