Tongue cancer

Hi can anyone tell me if, when they saw the consultant for their biopsy results, there was a macmillan nurse there. It really freaked me out. Iwas told this is normal procedure when given any cancer diagnosis.

  • Hi totally normal,as nowadays after treatment we are all referred to our local hospitals for on going care and they give us a a Macmillan nurse as a point of  contact younlike me probably connect  end of life care !!! They can become a good part if tecoverynprogramme if you allow them to as you have someone at the end of the phone.

     

    ps one chemotherapy session done and 3/35 radiation completed this week !!!! Right tonsil cancer plus 3 squamous lymohnnides. HPV 16 + diagnosis passed down family line. Don’t smoke or drink butbthusmisntbgoing yo best me
