Hi can anyone tell me if, when they saw the consultant for their biopsy results, there was a macmillan nurse there. It really freaked me out. Iwas told this is normal procedure when given any cancer diagnosis.
Hi totally normal,as nowadays after treatment we are all referred to our local hospitals for on going care and they give us a a Macmillan nurse as a point of contact younlike me probably connect end of life care !!! They can become a good part if tecoverynprogramme if you allow them to as you have someone at the end of the phone.
ps one chemotherapy session done and 3/35 radiation completed this week !!!! Right tonsil cancer plus 3 squamous lymohnnides. HPV 16 + diagnosis passed down family line. Don’t smoke or drink butbthusmisntbgoing yo best me
