Hi all, came across this forum sometime back when i was diagnosed with Tongue & Lymph Cancer. Had some quries and your you folks expertise here. Below is my case:
I had an ulcer on my right side of my tongue and was not healing. It was later diagnosed with Tongue Cancer in Jan this year. My Doctor remove part of my tongue and all the lymph node on my right side of my neck. 2 of the lymph nodes were found to have cancer cells. My doctor wanted to continue with Chemo + radiatherapy. However, i had a kidney transplanted to me abt 25 yrs ago (My kidney failed and my dad donated one to me), therefore he decided to go ahead with only Radiotherapy as Chemo will damage my only kidney.
My radiotherapy ended in early May. Everything was fine till about 2 wks ago.I felt pain on the back of my right side of the tongue & throat. That lead to pain in the ear and headache. It happend when i cough or swallow something pass the painful area. The pain can be really very bad. It did not hurt as much when i am doing my RT. I visited my doctor, he did a scope thru my nose and say that he did not see anything abnormal except there is slight inflamation at the throat. He ordered an MRI for me which is this coming Friday.
Anyone has this type of pain?
