There is no need for you to feel lonely for as long as this forum is on the go. It offers tremendous support to all with cancer of any type and is populated by people who are plagued by cancer themselves or are caring for someone with cancer.This means that most of them are able to tell you exactly what to expect as they they all have first-hand experience of this horrible disease.

You will be able to fight this. We all seem to find a hidden strength from somewhere.

thank you so much for taking the time out of your holiday to reply, I really appreciate it.  I am lucky enough to have a couple of good friends my partner and I have just split up as it was to much for him to deal with but that's ok.  I think what you said about walking is a very good idea which I will remember.  Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday and thank you again.

Hi Romy, So sorry you find yourself here. I'm so sorry you feel alone. No one should feel they have to cope alone with cancer. You have reached out here and that is a good thing. I had a diagnosis of grade 1 early stage endometrial (womb) cancer in May 2017. I'm 58. I had my hysterectomy in May too. I am sorry your op has been postponed. Waiting to get your treatment started can be an anxious time and your mind can be consumed by the what ifs.. and the fear. Having someone who has been through it to talk with can be a real help Can I recommend to you the Macmillan online support group for those with womb cancer. ? It is a brilliant group and they are very welcoming and supportive. We have all been where you are now in one way or another and can give you some hope and good advice to get you through this. I'm here to chat to you on this site too if you wish If I can help in any way .

Hysterectomy is a big op but it's very much moved on from the bad old days I had heard all sorts of horror stories about it over the years but honestly my op wasnot as bad as I had imagined. I was only in hospital 24 hrs. I had a laparoscopic (keyhole op) many have the abdominal cut op which can take a bit longer to recover . Do you know what type of pp you have been scheduled for ? I'm now 4 months post op and back to my old self physically. I was very lucky as my cancer was stage 1a so I just needed the hysterectomy and no radio or chemo. Just check ups now every few months This cancer is often very slow growing has a very optimistic outlook if it's dealt with early. It's devastating to get a cancer diagnosis and sometimes friends even withthe best intentions cannot truly understand how you feel soplease think about joining the Macmillan online group. thank you so much for replying, I am glad you feel well and I wish you a speedy healthy recovery.  I am going to use the link as I think that will be helpful.  Sadly today I have been told I have to be tested for breast cancer so hope that turns out well.  I will mail you again if that ok and thank you for your kindness.
