No advice but just solidarity and support really. I had biopsies taken on 17th march and finally got the results of them on 30th march. I had a ct scan of my chest, abdomen and pelvis on 29th march and will get the results of that next thurs 6th april. It is all a bit frustrating and you seem to spend forever in "limbo" waiting for results but youll get there. I start treatment next thurs which they may then alter depending on ct scan results. Sam just read your own post, would still be interested to know what treatment your getting. I also have lower back pain but controllable with  nurofen but I'm eating very well. Hope you get sorted soon.

This sounds similar to my diagnosis about 7 months ago.

I had several swollen lymph nodes in my neck, scans showed it was all inside my abdomen pressing on my internal organs,

The first scan was for something unrelated and they found the 'shadows'.

With hindsight I'd been ill for some time, always tired, bad night sweats, etc.

Diagnosis and treatment happened very quickly, and I've now had my last of 6 cycles, final scan next week with results on Friday, hopefully remission and no more treatments.

As you say, waiting and not knowing can be the hardest part, once you have the results and you're on a treatment path things really get moving.

What I would recommend is finding a local support group and sign up with them, even if it costs money. I left it a little late, but they have already helped me cope through the last few weeks.

Our NHS, supported by Macmillan and other groups do amazing jobs with their limited resources.

Another little trick is not to expect to much of yourself, whilst we may feel fine we can quickly lose what energy we have, listen to your body, rest when you feel the need, and take each day as it comes.

Try to maintain a health diet, it can be tricky if you don't have much support around you. 

Family and friends support is of great benefit, even those on the end of a phone, internet, etc are of help, the more you have the better, so you're not reliant on a few.

Before I was diagnosed I had arranged carers to come in for an hour twice a week, which I cut back to once a week, but every little helps. They help keep my flat fairly clean and tidy, help me shop etc.They can also help those around you have a break.

You may also be entitled to Benefits, so get those checked out, either by those around you or by a Support Group.

So I have gallbladder cancer which has spread to my liver and lymph nodes and therefore is inoperable, so chemo looms! Still feeling positive so will research some other topics...Tim
