cancer

Hi my names jane on the 30th December i was told i had skin cancer, recently i have been sent to Guys Hospital to find out what one it is. I have been told its either Mycosis Fungoides or Sezary Syndrome only difference between them is Sezary Syndrome gets in your blood. I have had blood tests done and on 15th febuary i have to have a ct scan which i'm feeling nervous about. I'm so scared that its in blood and have to go through intense treatment i have also read that life expectancy isn't that good so that has made me feel more afraid. My dad died a week before christmas of kidney cancer.

  • Hi Jane welcome here where you will find lots of support and help. The scan is tomorrow? Well lets hope that it is all clear and no spread. So put it all on one side and just allow your self to putt it all in the hands of the doctors. So, good morning! Its my wife with the cancer - not me = but the road travelled by partners is really the same and I know it is a real roller coaster!! It neednot be = so enjoy the day and lets cross our fingers, brave lady, together.

I was sorry to hear about dad = that is terrible and must really upset you - especially with your illness. My wifes mum passed right in the middle of wifes cancer treatment - she also had cancer = it devastated my wife. In a funny way - it gave my wife the strength to battle her cancer and get well again. That was three years ago - she still thinks about mum loads. I don't know why life throws these things at us - you must feel so upset and battered by events. My prayer for today is that things will now enter a time of healing for you and your family. Take care

all the best and let us know how the scan goes = Brighteyes xx
