My wife suffered a seizure at the end of October and was subsequently diagnosed with advanced non small cell lung cancer with secondary brain tumours. The tumours were treated with radiotherapy last week. She has loss of feeling in her right side - her hand is more or less useless and she now has a limp. However she has no symptoms associated with lung cancer. The oncologist is now suggesting that she has chemotherapy to treat the cancer even though it is not giving her any problems. We just need to know if treatment is always the best option.
