We are rowing alongside your boat pinkie pie

Hi there-loving the name!

my husband had an open nephrectomy on 30th Oct and we see the oncologist on 1st December. That is a scarey day coming our way-happy bloomin' Christmas eh? He is very like you, quite up and down both emotionally and physically. This is one hell of a shock so you have to be kind to yourself. It's hard we know. However as a friend said to me who is suffering her second bout of breat cancer, you either worry yourself for however long or get out there and enjoy life. None of us know how long we've got-are you a car driver? Do you travel? Heart Attucks etc I won't go on! All these things are risky these days but we don't worry about them

That being said of course he has down days( me to!) but we are really trying so hard to remain positive.

Dave will proudly tell you he had 36 staples so he completely understands your symptoms. His problems seem to centre on bloating and 'poogate' I'll  say no more but I guest you understand the gist!!

Todays a good day-we have a long garden and he did 1200 steps (fit bit) today. Tomorrow he may feel rubbish and do nothing.

I think (hope) its normal!

Daves primary has been removed but he has one metastasis in hip. Please God this will be treated somehow, the nurse told us there are so many therapies and more importantly many more in the pipeline.

I will leave you with the quote from our GP ' as bad news goes, this is good news' That so applies to you 3 in 4  chance it WONT come back

Kerp in touch
