Hi, I posted not too long ago about my dad having problems with Mythenia Gravis and being checked for cancer via a PET(?) scan in Stoke.
Confirming what they found with the camera in his lung, there is a cancerous tumor measuring 22mm. I believe it's isolated. There is also something to investigate within the adrenal gland but they think it's 'not connected'.
Ofcourse I'm worrying and checking survival rates and as much information as I can about it. I'm guessing it's at stage 1A which seems much better than the later stages that my grandfather had :(
They have mentioned operating, which I hope they can. He has COPD too which I hope doesn't affect decision.
My question is who has experienced others with type 1A and maybe with and without the operation, and how possible is it to be 'cured' to a certain degree? As survival rates still always seem alittle bleak :(
So close to my dad and have a newborn son. Don't want to lose him ofcourse and would hate my son to experience what I did with mum grandad I loved :(
All help appreciated xx
