Experiance of radiotherapy... I'm so terrified crying

I started radiotherapy already 2 days ago which will carry on for 6months. I am taking this due to a grade 3 brain tumour. I am so scared and I feel that I'm getting worse as Iv asked most professionals I have met about worries including hair situations and they have all said different. I am a very self concious person and I feel my self esteem has reduced rather fast. I feel so frustrated with the medical team has I feel my questions have not been answered.

if anyone could answer me to calm my worried, I would be very, very thankful!

    so sorry to hear what you going through, I can understand how you must be feeling as it is a very scary time for you.  I have noticed in the last couple of weeks a few members posting on here with regards to brain tumours, if you put brain tumour in the search box above this message (where it says search forum) then it will bring up all the posts associated with this subject by other members.  Perhaps you can find some answers there.  I hope this helps a little.

    Take care of yourself and try not stress, I know easier said than done, but you sound like you have been very strong so far

    I am so sorry to hear you are feeling terrified at the moment as you are currently having radiotherapy treatment. We have some information on our site on brain tumour radiotherapy which you can read here and which I hope will answer some of the questions you may have.

    As JB45 said, our nurses are available on this free number 0808 800 4040 and you can call them Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm and ask them any question you may have. They also have an Ask the Nurses topic area if you prefer to ask them a question on the forum.

    We hope that your treatment goes well and that you feel better soon. Anytime you need to talk, don't hesitate to come here. We are all here for you and it can help to talk to others who have had a similar diagnosis and have previously had radiotherapy. I hope they will be along soon to share their experience with you.
