Any help appreciated.

Hopefully I only have a minor problem. A squamous cell cancer has been found in my lung and I am due for a planning meeting on Thursday next. I understand treatment will commence in a couple of weeks in Bristol. The treatment will be under the CHART regime, intense treatment 3 times a day for 3 weeks. Start 8am until 8 PM.

I live about 50 miles away from Bristol so getting to and fro daily will be exhausting . Accommodation may be offered near the hospital but with no room for my car to park for that period of time.

Has anyone been treated at Bristol that could possibly suggest a safe place to keep my car during my stay?

I would be grateful to hear from anyone.

  • Hi Newboy sorry cant help re: Bristol but does the hospital offer free transport I know that some do. Speak with McMillans they may be able to point you in the right direction especially if you eligable to claim PIP then you could use some of this for a taxi.

  • Thanks river56.

I have spoken to the hospital regarding transport. They said it would be difficult for them to find a driver to get me to the unit by 8 am and to take me home after 8 PM.

I can understand this as it would be at least a three hour journey for them at awkward times during the day.
