Adenocarcinoma cervical cancer

I have recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer, but have to wait till March 18 to find out what stage the cancer is at and a treatment plan, I'm terrified and the waiting is driving me crazy, I'm constantly in tears and can't sleep, my husband is great but doesn't quite understand how I'm feeling and I guess I would just like to chat to someone who knows what I'm going through. I'm 36 with two toddlers my husband and I were hoping to extend our family but I feel this will not happen now, I'm angry that the decision for more family is no longer my choice.

  • I have just recovered from cervical cancer and want to tell you not to lose hope. Don't except long waiting times ring everyday and check for cancellations. Check out your rights on the patients charter on direct gov.com too as once diagnosed with cancer they have to see you within so many days!!! I had stage 2b squamouse carcinoma10cm by 4cm and had 5 weeks of radiotherapy and 5 sessions of chemotherapy. Cancer still active but reduced in size to allow for a hysterectomy December 8th 2015. This has been difficult and just recovered from a nasty infection.  Remember to keep pushing forward and don't accept long waiting times. Good luck stay positive. Sue.
