I need help with saying how I'm handling it.

I took it quite well at the start just because I thought what can you do , nothing is going to change what the doctor just told you. But now I'm finding it very hard, haven't found anyone like me and I don't know who is easiest to speak to.

  • Hi Jess,  my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia at the beginning of last year........,she is 14 and would love to answer any questions or help you out in any way ️   Have you also heard of teens unite, mention it to clic Sargent ..... They do lots of events for teens to meet up......concerts , pizza making etc

  • I know how you feel. When I was diagnosed with Kidney cancer in december my first thought was how do I tell the children - I have twins 3 years old. In the end I have not told them and will wait till they are a little older. I don't know if it gets easier as time goes on yet but feel it must be like the grieving process which does get easier with time. I was very open about it - broke down at work let the flood gates open and felt much better for it. I don't think bottling it up helps and forms like ths are great.
